Our Story

Born Grumpy. Raised on Nonna's Recipes.

The Grumpy Italian was born into a family of all boys in the vibrant landscapes of Southern Italy. Known for his mischievous and grumpy demeanour, his mother taught him how to cook to keep him out of trouble. A talent was discovered and a lifelong passion for authentic Italian cuisine was born. Today in Leichhardt we serve traditional dishes using recipes passed down through generations — simple Italian food with big flavour, made from the freshest ingredients.
